Wine & Fire: Celebrating the wines of the Santa Rita Hills

SANTA RITA HILLS-Ignite your passion for the wines of the Santa Rita Hills, during their first tasting event, Wine & Fire, June 9 and 10, 2006. The weekend-long celebration features winemaker dinners, wine tasting and a screening of Rob Dafoe's documentary on wine and winemaking, From Ground to Glass. In addition, there will be a panel discussion on Saturday morning, featuring local winemakers discussing their passions for the regions best-known grapes, Pinot and Chardonnay. More than two dozen winemakers will be on hand throughout the weekend, presenting their wines. On Sunday, attend open houses throughout the AVA, when winemakers throw open their doors to tasters.

The Santa Rita Hills are located about 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Tickets for the weekend will be made available for $325 per person, and include access to the Friday night dinner and film screening, as well as the Saturday wine seminars and winemaker lunch. (Saturday winemaker dinners are sold separately. Please contact the individual producers). Tickets are available on a first-come first-serve basis, with a maximum of 2 tickets per order.
